Specify the shell and panel layout

Supply the proposed woven nylon composition, weight, shade and finish with a reference for texture and handle. Identify any lining requirements separately. A lightweight material direction does not establish a particular water or movement performance claim.

Show front and back panel lines with individual colors where relevant. Set waist, hip, front and back rise, inseam and hem opening on the chart. Mark where the shorts should sit and finish on the fit reference, with the sample size identified.

Review waistband and pockets while worn

Specify waistband height, elastic measurement condition, drawcord exits and ends. Include pocket-opening and bag-depth details, plus closures where requested. The pocket construction needs to be reviewed against the selected short length.

Try the sample standing, seated and during the movements described in the brief. Check waistband behavior, pocket access and how the woven panels sit. Inspect inner seam finishing and any lining attachment, then compare the flat chart.

Check artwork on the chosen material

Supply decoration dimensions, colors and measured location relative to panels, pockets and seams. Discuss the application on the actual shell and review the finished result for appearance and inside finish. A material or surface-treatment change may need another application review.

Include labels with care wording and attachment positions, plus any custom drawcord or packing requirements. Retain the approved fabric and components with the completed sample, keeping any separately requested evaluations visible before final acceptance.
