FABRIC, FIT & BRANDING

Manufacturing Options for This Style

Set the main short pattern before pocket details

Supply waist, hip, front and back rise, inseam and leg-opening dimensions with a sample size identified. Show the intended hem position and room through the thigh. The cargo construction should be added to that defined silhouette rather than used to describe the fit.

Mark each pocket on front, side and back views, with separate width, height and location measurements. Specify flaps, closures, extra panels or gussets where requested, together with attachment references for discussion.

Review access on the actual leg length

Provide fabric composition, weight, shade and finish where known. Include waistband and pocket-bag material references where they differ from the body. A shorter inseam may require a different pocket arrangement from a full-length cargo pant.

Try the sample standing and seated, checking hand access and pocket closure operation. Inspect the side outline and clearance from the hem. Record any position change in the drawing, along with chart revisions where the garment dimensions change.

Plan trims and artwork together

Identify waistband closure or drawcord requirements and supply component references. Measure artwork placement clear of pocket openings, flaps and side seams unless the design intentionally incorporates them. Review the selected decoration on the actual fabric.

Include label artwork and attachment positions plus packing requirements. Keep the final pocket map, approved trims and material with the completed garment chart so sample acceptance describes both the utility details and the fit.
