FABRIC, PRODUCT BRIEFS & PRIVATE LABEL

Streetwear Manufacturing Guides

Practical guides to fabric and GSM, garment specifications, sampling and brand details. Use them to prepare clearer questions and a more complete clothing production brief.

TURNING RESEARCH INTO A PRODUCTION BRIEF

Use the Guides
to Make Product Decisions

The most useful manufacturing research ends with something you can specify or check. Keep a short decision sheet as you read: the garment you are developing, the choice you need to make and the detail you want to confirm in a sample or quotation.

Start with the garment and fabric

Identify the intended fit and use before choosing a fabric weight. Write down the composition, feel, inside finish and color you want to discuss. Compare those notes with the specifications in the product catalog or the guide for your garment category.

Read sampling advice before approving production

A sample review should produce a clear approval or a numbered list of changes. Use the development guides to plan what you will check: measurements, construction, fabric, decoration and labels. Keep the revision notes with the same version of your tech pack so the next sample is reviewed against the right instructions.

Bring branding into the brief early

Artwork, embroidery, labels and hang tags affect the finished product. Record their dimensions and placements alongside the garment details. The private label manufacturing guide explains the information to prepare before discussing those options.

Ask about your exact order

A guide can explain a process, but it cannot set the minimum quantity, material availability or schedule for every design. Once your product decisions are clear, send a manufacturing inquiry with the styles, quantities and delivery country. List any decisions you still need help with so they can be addressed with your request.
