Develop the garment and graphic together

Set chest width, body length, shoulder position and sleeves before fixing the artwork placement. Show neck, cuff and hem rib dimensions and attachment references. A graphic sweatshirt needs those construction details even when the design is led by the artwork.

Provide material direction, proposed composition, weight, shade and inner finish where known. Review the surface with the intended decoration: a smooth outer face and a textured one may call for different application discussions.

Make artwork dimensions and versions clear

Supply actual width and height, color references and measured placement for the front, back or sleeves. State whether designs stay the same scale across garment sizes. Fine lines, small lettering and stitched detail should be reviewed at the intended size.

For print, discuss the desired appearance and feel on the proposed fabric. For embroidery, inspect detail, backing and how the surrounding material sits. Check the decorated sample worn as well as flat, including artwork clearance from ribs and seams.

Keep garment revisions with artwork changes

A shorter body or altered neckline can change the apparent graphic position. Record placement revisions against the approved garment chart, and identify the final file so earlier mockups do not conflict with it.

Include labels, hang tags and packing artwork as part of the same brand brief. If a washing review is agreed, record appearance and dimensions using the selected care method. Retain the finished sample, material and artwork as one approval reference.
