Locate the shoulder seam on the fit reference

Show how far the seam should extend beyond the natural shoulder, then provide shoulder and chest measurements. Set sleeve length from an agreed point so the finished reach includes that extension. Define body length separately from width instead of increasing the whole pattern equally.

Include upper-sleeve width, armhole depth and cuff dimensions. Those measurements determine how the extra sleeve volume falls and gathers. Specify the sample size and intended layer to give fit feedback a clear context.

Balance the hood and body construction

Provide hood depth, opening and layering references, with fabric composition, weight and inside finish where known. State whether the hood uses a lining for discussion. A larger body does not automatically need a larger hood in every dimension.

Show pocket size and placement against the wider body, and include cuff and hem rib material references. Review the sample with arms at rest and moving forward. Record whether any issue comes from shoulder position, sleeve shape or rib construction before revising the chart.

Scale artwork to the approved proportions

Position decoration relative to the neckline, pocket and actual sleeve seams. If shoulder or chest dimensions change, inspect the graphic spacing again on the sample rather than keeping the original mockup as the only reference.

Include label files, attachment locations and branded trims where requested. Keep shoulder, sleeve and hood revisions in the same approval record, with the final material references and decorated garment.
