Plan a relaxed cotton tee with an agreed garment-wash appearance. Supply shade references, finished measurements and artwork so the wash, fit and branding can be reviewed together.

## Specify the finished shade and character

A vintage finish needs a visual reference for the whole tee, with close views of the neckline, seams and hems. Identify the base shade and describe the amount and distribution of fading you want discussed. A digital filter cannot show how the selected cotton will respond to a garment treatment.

Keep the base material, garment chart and finishing instructions separate in the brief. State the relaxed chest width, body length, shoulder position and sleeve shape. Measurements used for approval should be taken at the agreed finished stage rather than only before washing.

## Review variation on the completed sample

Inspect the front and back in consistent light and record any accepted difference in shade or effect. Look at seam appearance and how the neck rib compares with the body. Discuss which features define the design and which would require another sample review.

If the base fabric or shade changes, revisit the finishing reference. The earlier appearance approval may depend on that original material. Retain photographs and the physical approved garment alongside the recorded specification.

## Agree how decoration joins the wash process

Show artwork colors, dimensions and location, then discuss the order of finishing and decoration. Review the actual result rather than assuming a clean print or a faded logo from the design image.

Check label appearance and attachment on the finished garment as well. Any washing review for customer care should use an agreed method and be recorded separately from the development treatment. The final approval should cover fit, fabric, wash character and branding at the same stage.
