Set a boxy tee’s width and length independently using a heavy cotton jersey reference. Define shoulder position, sleeves, neckline and the intended cropped-to-regular hem position.

## Establish the width-to-length relationship

The design reference allows a cropped-to-regular boxy silhouette. Select the intended length instead of treating that range as a finished measurement. Provide chest width and front and back length, then show where the hem should fall on the chosen sample size.

Set shoulder position, sleeve length and opening separately. A shorter body combined with a long sleeve can produce a different outline from a wide body with compact sleeves. Include a side view where sleeve fall or hem shape matters.

## Choose jersey for the shape you want to see

Heavy cotton jersey is the material direction for discussion, with composition, GSM and finish still to be selected. Compare the swatch for surface feel and drape rather than assuming every heavy jersey produces a firm outline.

Specify neck-rib width, opening and attachment, plus the body and sleeve hem finish. Review the garment worn with arms relaxed and raised. If the hem moves higher than intended, record the relationship between length, armhole and sleeve construction before revising the chart.

## Recheck artwork after length changes

Measure graphic placement from the neckline and review its clearance from the hem. A body-length revision can leave the same artwork looking differently positioned. Note any required variation in graphic size across the garment range.

Review print or embroidery on the actual material and include label files in the brief. Keep width and length revisions separate in the feedback record, then retain the complete approved chart and sample as the reference for the boxy proportions.
