# Custom Apparel Manufacturing Categories

Find T-shirt, hoodie, shorts, jacket and other apparel manufacturing guides. Review construction, fabric and sample requirements by garment type.

## Prepare a brief for each garment type

Different garments need different checks. For a T-shirt, record neckline, shoulder, sleeve and hem proportions. For hoodies and sweatshirts, add the inside finish, rib dimensions and layering allowance. Pants and shorts need a waistband specification, rise, pocket layout and leg opening. Jackets also need fastening, lining and movement checks.

Use categories to compare those decisions rather than applying one specification to an entire collection. A shared color reference or label can connect the styles, while fabric and construction remain appropriate to each garment.

## Garment categories

- [T-Shirts](https://rightgateglobal.com/categories/t-shirts.md): Plan custom T-shirts with a defined jersey, garment measurements and artwork. Compare oversized, boxy, drop-shoulder, washed and long-sleeve designs, then review neckline, hems and decoration on a development sample.
- [Hoodies & Sweatshirts](https://rightgateglobal.com/categories/hoodies-sweatshirts.md): Develop hoodies and sweatshirts with your selected fleece or terry, body proportions, rib trims and artwork. Define hood, pocket or zipper details alongside the garment chart so the sample covers the full construction.
- [Tracksuits](https://rightgateglobal.com/categories/tracksuits.md): Plan coordinated tracksuits with separate jacket and pant charts, matching material references and measured branding positions. Define panels, closures, waistband and leg finish, then review both garments together as a set.
- [Jackets & Outerwear](https://rightgateglobal.com/categories/jackets-outerwear.md): Develop varsity, bomber, coach, track, windbreaker and puffer jackets from a clear shell and construction brief. Define lining, trims, pockets and layering measurements, with functional requirements stated for separate review.
- [Pants & Joggers](https://rightgateglobal.com/categories/pants-joggers.md): Plan fleece sweatpants, straight or wide-leg styles and cargo pants with defined waist, rise, length and leg shape. Add waistband, cuff and pocket construction, then review fit and branding on the sample.
- [Shorts](https://rightgateglobal.com/categories/shorts.md): Develop sweat, cargo, nylon, jersey, mesh and French terry shorts with defined rise, inseam and leg opening. Include waistband, pockets, fabric references and artwork so length and construction can be reviewed together.
